The Art

A Visit to the Museum

As a cultural center, Santa Fe has many museums. These preserve the cultures of the Native Americans, indigenous people and great artists.

Your visit wouldn’t be complete without visiting the farmers market and enjoy the local produce and delicacies. One such place is the Santa Fe Farmer’s Market. Here you can find local fruits, vegetables, poultry, meat, and baked foods.

Outdoor Activities

Santa Fe has a climate that favors outdoor activities. During winter, you can go for skiing while in summer you can go hiking.

You could go bird watching at Randal Davey Audubon Centre and Sanctuary, which comprises of more than 130 acres and almost 200 bird types. You will see the Mountain Chickadee, the Black-billed Magpie and the Spotted Towhee. The sanctuary also has plants.

For hiking and great views, try out Hyde Memorial State Park. The park occupies 350 acres, and it has hiking trails and camping sites. While here, you can also enjoy fishing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking, bird watching or a picnic.

You could also head to the Dale Ball Trails if you want to do mountain biking, hiking or trail running. There are more trails at the Santa Fe National Forest.

For skiers, there is the Ski Santa Fe which consists of 83 trails with 1,725 vertical feet for skiing. Taos Ski Valley also comprises 3,274 vertical feet of snow.
